Elements is a story detailing the wacky misadventures and heroic exploits of unlikely highschoolers empowered by the primary elements against the forces of darkness. Their names are Cloud, Jack, Benita, and Keiko “K”.
Guided by the Spirit of Light, Chief Tsidii, they’ve made a vow as protectors to stand opposed to Vultura, the Spirit of Night. As Vultura builds her army the Elements are tasked in the mean time with fighting crime, responding to natural disasters, and defending nature from those who would spoil it.

CLOUD(AIR) is the stoic de-facto leader of the bunch. He is highly attuned to nature, and comes off as extremely detached from social norms and pop culture. Always calm and analytical, he dissects anything he experiences to its most basic parts. If not for his aunt Alison adopting him, he’d have no family.
He likes to go for long treks into the wilds, often disappearing on weekends.
“Dreams always feel real until you realize it's all just your mind making stuff up. It’s fear that can make things happen; in the dream… or in real life.”
BENITA (FIRE) is the kind-hearted empath of the Elements. Fearful of violence and conflict, she struggles with using her explosive, abundant potential. Loving to but annoyed her twin brother and her own mother, she has mixed feelings about her home life. Though sharply intelligent, she has also dulled this potential in front of others so as not to stand out.
Benita enjoys hording animals, she dances (badly) with them in her room where no one is watching.
“No! It’s still scary. What if I forget to breathe in my sleep and my house turns on fire?! Or what if I sneeze and something blows up?! Or- or what if I get mad and burn somebody?!”
JACK (EARTH) is the hot-headed muscle, who believes himself to be the true leader of the elements. Formerly on the football team and bully to Cloud and many other students from their old middle-school. He has deep seated abandonment issues due to his parents leaving. His aggressive nature is a result of being raised in the streets by his criminal elder brother, Lucian.
Jack secretly longs for the warmth of companionship, brotherhood, and the honor of being hailed as a hero.
“We’re gonna prove who’s better right here, right now.”
KEIKO “K” (WATER) is the graceful grunge-gal. Her parents had dreams of her becoming a figure-skater or a doctor, dreams she is determined to crush. An avid music lover and rebel, she identifies heavily with themes of freedom and self-expression. She hates bullies, and was pivotal in ending Jack’s abusive reign in middle school.
K is the type to sneak into concerts and collect tickets to put on her wall.
“I don’t got nothing better to do. And- even though I don’t like Chief and Cloud telling us what to do, I actually WANT to go out and do cool shit.”
CHIEF TSIDII (Spirit of LIGHT) is Cloud’s ancestral spirit and the guide to the Elements. In life he himself was the former Element of Fire, thus he stands in opposition to Vultura, his twin and the spirit of Night. Wise but dead-serious, he will stop at nothing to put an end to Vultura’s ambitions.
Chief has a love for humanity, despite their flaws and their hubris. The potential of modern life and technology inspire him to bear witness to the progress of human development.
“We are the wardens of the natural world. INCLUDING MANKIND.”
VULTURA (Spirit of NIGHT) is Chief’s twin and other half. Her impassioned love for nature is so great that the threat humans pose to the condition of life on earth has become unacceptable. She seeks total human extinction. Her communion with nature allows her to gift animals with the most dangerous tool of all; human intelligence. She uses trickery to accomplish her goals.
The one thing Vultura tolerates about mankind is their affinity for art. Something she plans to teach to the animals in her care. For few love music like beasts and spirits.
“So predictable. Day by day you lose grip on this planet. Your rule is soon at its end brother, know I will stop at nothing to save this planet from your precious mankind.”
RAIN (English for Niltsa) is Cloud’s cousin, making her the descendant of both Chief and Vultura. For nearly her entire life, she had dreamed of becoming an Element along with Cloud’s own mother, Amber, the woman she considered her own mother. Ever since Amber’s passing, Rain has been in grief. This grief was seen by Vultura as an opportunity to get Rain to help her with her own villainous schemes. Rain is reluctant to cooperate, but sees her own involvement as necessary to replace Cloud as the First of the Elements.
Rain hosts an Dotube account called “Rainy Daywalker“, a nature observation blog. Both K and Benita happen to be fans of her content.
“Well… you show up at my Mom’s funeral in the form of my ancestor and tell me to kill my little brother. Then you ghost me… You’re the devil.”
“Mankind does many things to destroy nature, yes. This only makes them nature’s most destructive animal. Destruction is part of creation, no matter how evil it seems. We are all fed and upheld by the same soil. We all breathe the same sky. We are all connected to nature, and cannot be taken from it. When we pass on, we return to the earth- to the air. Nature does not care who lives and who dies, its only concern is that everything contributes. But until then, we can ensure that the creatures of this planet get to live long enough to experience a full life, and realize their potential… Or die trying.” - Chief
