niltsa “Rain“

Biography: Niltsa, translated into english as “Rain” as she is known by friends, is the daughter of Alison Tsidii. Though because of Alison’s careless mothering, Rain came into the custody of her mother’s twin, Amber. 

Though not yet a mother herself, Amber proved to be a deeply caring and attentive guardian to her niece. Their bond was strong enough to see Amber totally replace Alison as Rain’s mother from her viewpoint. Amber, the hopeful first of the Elements, taught Rain everything she knew about the Elements, nature, and their place in this world. During this time Rain witnessed Jezibelle’s passing- where she bequeathed the power of the Elements to Amber. As well as the birth of Cloud soon after. 

Rain and Cloud were raised together more as siblings, than cousins. Amber saw Rain through school all the way to college. Which is where Rain happened to be when Amber and Dipa died in the plane crash which orphaned Cloud and made him the First of the Elements. Soon after the funeral and Cloud’s adoption by a reformed Alison, Rain was persuaded by Vultura, disguised as Chief Tsidii to attempt to kill Cloud so that Rain would become the First of the Elements. Rain nearly completed the task, but hesitated at the last moment. Nevertheless, she was caught by Alison. The two fought, but Rain escaped. But most importantly, Cloud lived.

Several years later, Niltsa works as a nature blogger, making video content about wildlife hikes where she seems to be in perfect harmony with nature, particularly the animals. During this time she would run into Vultura once again, a moment which would change her life and begin her role in the story of the Elements in earnest.
